Each year, ICN leads the celebrations on International Nurses Day, held on 12 May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
The International Council of Nurses has announced the new theme for International Nurses Day 2022: “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health”.
At Aster Home Care, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our nursing heroes! AHC COO Mark Chapman said: “We are fortunate to have a strong team of nurses who deliver excellent home care. We are pleased to announce that we are starting our “Lunch and Learn” initiative as part of our investment in nursery.”
If you are feeling especially grateful for the way a certain nurse took care of you, today you can show your support and get involved in the International Nurses Day celebrations:
* Share your personal note of thanks on your social media platform
* Take a trip down to the hospital with a box of chocolates, or anything else you think a particular nurse might like
* “Buy a nurse a coffee” is a GoFundMe movement that lets people buy nurses a coffee https://lnkd.in/gCVE_ED
* “Help a nurse out”
Do you know a nurse personally? Maybe your family member is a nurse? Or your friend? Or your neighbour? If you see they are too busy working tirelessly, surprise them with a home-cooked meal, or help with the grocery shopping, or maybe babysit for them or offer to mow their lawn.
