About Us
Aster Home Care is an established specialist provider of in-home care, servicing the Gold Coast and Northern NSW local communities for over 25 years. Our specialty is serving those who have served; vulnerable elderly members of the community, in the comfort of their own homes. We thrive on caring for others.
We dedicate ourselves to primary preventative nursing and support clients’ independence across a wide range of services including palliative care in the home.
With escalating demands for our exceptional nursing services, we are currently looking for Registered Nurses (RN), Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Personal Care Workers.

We want problem solvers and lateral thinkers. Our ideal candidate is someone who can consider the whole person and deliver nursing care in a holistic way. Aster Home Care works from a wellness mindset and considers each client as a partner. You will be empowered to use your initiative and consider the whole person; their story and the ways you best provide them the care they need. Big picture yet not dismissive of the details.
Can you brighten up a room? Our nurses are outgoing and able to initiate conversations easily. Resilience is paramount. At first you will be walking into a stranger’s home and after a short time turning them into a friend with your nurturing demeanour, attention to detail, and excellent rapport building skills.
Do you have a Growth Mindset? Our ideal candidate embraces change. Your experience makes you seek for ways to do things better. You are flexible and seek further development for leadership roles or are just open to sharing your ideas for growth and improvement about the way we do business. Our managers and staff genuinely care for our nurses the way we know you will care for our partners.
Autonomous yet a team player. You must be able to follow clear procedures and guidelines but not be directed in all things. For much of the role, you are autonomous but with support close at hand. Communication is an integral part of this job so we can provide continuous seamless service across health services and nurses.

Employment Prerequisites
- Have current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner)
- Relevant qualifications / certificates
- Current First Aid (3 years) / CPR (renewed annually)
- Manual Handling Competencies
- Infection Control Competencies
- Drivers Licence
- Australian Citizen or Australian Visa with work rights
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19
